Yes. Your read it right. Today Save Your Sole is 7 years old and what an amazing journey it has been. From the day we bought our first pair of Christian Louboutin red soled shoes in New York, to the realization that we could create a product to repair these red soles to then opening our office in New York (just around the corner from the Christian Louboutin store on Horatio St where our first pair of red soles came from) it has been nothing short of a miracle.

And meeting Christian Louboutin outside a temple in India. Well that is a story for another time.

From walking the runways at New York Fashion Week with Oscar De La Renta, to the stage on the West End for the Spice Girls Musical. To selling our products with some of the biggest retailers including Nordstrom and working with  wholesalers around the world to deliver our products straight to you and the soles of your shoes. We can’t wait to share our newest collaboration with you when that launches in the spring of 2017.

We have also been so lucky to work with incredible stylists, designers, magazines, shoe lovers and customers around the world.

To thank you for your support, loyalty and for ‘sharing’ our shoe care message we are offering 25% off our entire site this weekend so you can stock up on your favorite products to show just how much you love your shoes. And your soles.

Just enter HAPPYBIRTHDAY when you checkout for a 25% discount off your entire purchase at saveyoursole.com – and have a great weekend!

Shoe of the Week: Ballettonet Chelsea Boot

Ah, September equinox has come and gone.  And with it, it’s left us with cooler temperatures and good reason not to shave our legs (hint: pants).  With it, however, we’ve been left in a state of confusion when it comes to clothing ourselves.  We’re stuck debating whether something is hashtag too soon or just holding on to a feeling.  No one wants to be the girl wearing her winter coat on the first day of school, nor do we want to be the girl clinging to a croptop and a dream.

And this doesn’t just fall under the category of clothing.  One must take into account her footwear.  Sandals seem to be desperate and tall boots just appear a bit Pretty Woman as early as October 1st.

What is the only alternative?  The perfect booties.  Namely, the Chelsea Boot by Ballettonet.  A simple, yet sophisticated flat bootie designed in collaboration with Jasmin Howell (you may know her as Friend In Fashion), this shoe can easily transition from day– with a perfectly distressed pair of denim trousers, to evening– with the most conscious of bodycon dresses.  Dressed up or dressed down, high shine or matte sophistication, this boot will impress if not not only for its design details but for the fact that it’s a limited edition piece- only 100 pairs made entirely in Italy by the Baccaro family in each style.

Fall Trends: Velvet Underground

Cuffing season is upon us.  And if you’re like me and haven’t found a suitable suitor to keep you warm on those chilly fall evenings, you’re going to need to resort to alternative sources of heat.  Yes, there’s cashmere and corduroy (which made a surprising comeback), but this fall’s front runner is another 90’s throwback: velvet.  And every “it” girl, model, or digital influencer has been seen sporting some form of the fabric- from crushed velvet body suits to the covetable Phillip Lim Kyoto boot.  Mostly seen in jewel tones, there’s a shape and silhouette for every body to incorporate into their fall wardrobes from velvet booties to slinky slip dresses.  Below are a few of my favorites.

Shoe of the Week: Poolside Companion

Giuseppe Zanotti Women’s Dress Sandal

Wearing shoes poolside may be a forever faux pas, but giving the illusion of an even longer leg will never cease to go out of style. That is why stepping out in a strappy nude stiletto this summer is the perfect way to showcase your short shorts, flirty skirts, and hard earned hours spent slaving away at Soul Cycle. This Giuseppe Zanotti Nude Sandal is the epitome of understated stem enhancing splendor, making it our Shoe of the Week.

With its 4.75” heel, one might find it prudent to purchase Save Your Sole’s Sole Stickers to avoid any unfortunate spills post poolside cocktails. The perfect companion for any summer soiree or sandal.
